25th June 2023 Several studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of HIIT (high intensity interval training) in improving cardiovascular fitness and promoting fat loss.
Ramos et al (2015) conducted an analysis the revealed that HIIT was not only more effective than moderate intensity continuous training at increasing cardiovascular fitness, but it also improved participants cardiovascular disease risk factors e.g body fat & blood pressure), inflammation and insulin sensitivity (associated with T2 diabetes).
The key is to be consistent, get a HIIT workout in 2-3 times a week and keep at it!
